Our Pledge to Increase Diversity

Posted By Shannon Metoxen On November 4, 2020

It is no secret that the benefits of having a diverse business is exponential from the variety of different perspectives, increased innovation and creativity, increase in production, and overall a better company culture with improved hiring results and higher employee engagement.

JP Cullen is committed to building an inclusive workplace welcoming to people of all backgrounds. This commitment is woven into our mission statement and values which believe that our people are our greatest assets. It is important for us to represent the communities we are building for.

Our commitment to a diverse workplace starts with our diverse ownership and executive group creating an inclusive culture in our offices and jobsites. This commitment can be shown with welcoming our first female Co-President this year and our experience in meeting and exceeding inclusivity goals on our projects.

We are taking additional steps to continue to move towards inclusivity of our workplace to fully represent our company’s mission statement of identifying, hiring, training, and retaining the best people to serve our customers. Those steps are being made into measurable and accountable goals.

We are excited to announce that we have signed a pledge with Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) to increase diverse management by 25% and increase total employment of African American/Hispanic by 15% by 2025. We hope these efforts will continue to help move the needle and create a workplace where everyone feels welcomed. We will continue to share updates on the steps we are taking towards accomplishing these goals.
