Project Description:

The concrete portion of the project started in October and ran through March, not the ideal working conditions for pouring concrete. However, Cullen overcame that challenge by meeting or exceeding the scheduled dates given by the Construction Manager to evade liquidated damages.

Cullen's Concrete Division completed this $3.3 million contract for GE Healthcare's new research facility in Waukesha, Wis. Cullen poured the footings and foundations for the 500,000-square-foot office building, 60,000-square-foot warehouse, and the 90,000-square-foot parking structure.

In addition, another challenge was meeting exact specifications to ensure that all grids and elevations were poured to align perfectly with the precast panels that  followed to form the vertical members and decking of the quarter mile long parking structure.
