Quarterly Safety Bonus Initiative

Following safety in any and every worksite is the single most important task of any field crew member’s position. In doing this, they can complete their jobs in a safe and timely manner, while delivering the greatest quality. As a General Contractor, JP Cullen understands that safety must always be upheld, but we wanted to go further than that. We not only strive to follow safety protocol, but we also seek to reward our fellow crew members for safety protocol excellence.

This past April 1st, 2018, the Quarterly Safety Bonus Initiative began. The initiative was designed to empower our field crew members to lead their peers by completing positive safety events, ultimately rewarding them for encouraging safety protocol. Some examples of these types of safety events include creating a clean-up idea, participating in a safety lunch discussion, or leading the daily JSA and stretch program. Once a field crew member completes one of these tasks, they complete a record document and get it signed by their supervisor. The document will then be sent to “safety#1@jpcullen,” while simultaneously entering them for the quarterly and annual cash prizes of $500 and $10,000.

From Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 of our fiscal year, we have had the first two winners. The names of our winners are Luke Wittnebel and Len Pawlak.
