Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)
Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is a new approach to the design and construction of buildings. The approach is based on an integrated working relationship that shares risk and reward, and the exchange of data, which results in lower cost and lower risk, shorter design and construction schedules, and overall improvement in efficiency and productivity of the project.
The convergence of new technology, such as BIM (Building Information Modeling) and process improvement help to facilitate an environment where owners, architects, engineers, and contractors can collaborate more effectively earlier in the design and construction process to achieve these goals.
IPD Client:
IPD has paved the way for better, faster, and less costly construction for the Epic project in Verona, Wis. The project consists of over two million square-feet of construction spanning over the campus.
Client Testimonial:
Epic Learning Campus: Training Center and Auditorium
“Construction of Epic’s Learning Campus was an extremely challenging undertaking. It is very large and has many unique features. The project had to be done on-time so that we could host our 2007 User’s Group Meeting, a week-long event attended by 3,500 of our customers, in the facility. J. P. Cullen’s performance was outstanding. The facility was done on-time, worked as planned, and got rave reviews from our customers.”

Epic Campus 2: Five Office Buildings and Underground Parking Garage
“On the projects, Cullen assists Epic from the start of Master Planning by providing us with input on cost, scheduling, and constructability. During design phases, Cullen works integrally with Epic and the architect to propose cost effective solution to design challenges. Projects are completed on very aggressive schedules, but done safely and with the highest quality end product. Epic is kept completely informed all along the way and there is top Cullen management involvement in the projects.”
