Project Description:

Approximately 220 Gordon Flesch employees will call a new place home as the company embarked on a $5 million contract to construct its headquarters, located in Fitchburg, Wisconsin.  Having outgrown their current 30-year-old facility, located in Madison, the desire to provide dynamic customer service and better working conditions for employees made the decision for the new, three-story building a viable solution.

According to Vice President John Flesch, the building provides a more comfortable and efficient environment for employees, displays products more effectively and improves customer accessibility to techincal and support services.  The 46,000-square-foot facility presented some unique challenges right from the start.

Changing weather conditions made "soil conditions difficult to work in," according to Cullen's project manager.  The experience and foresight of the Cullen team identified this obstacle early and decided on a proactive approach.  Before winter, they installed as much of the parking lot base course, as possible, to provide them with an adequate amount of dry laydown area in order to store materials.  How did Cullen perform?  John Flesch commented, "this was a first-time experience working with Cullen," and he "could not have been happier" with our performance.  He added, "Cullen's project management team did a marvelous job and kept things moving."
