Project History
Growth: Looking back to 1988, Mercy Hospital was a stand-alone hospital that served a single community, seeing 89,000 patients a year. In Today, the hospital has been incorporated into a vertically integrated health system with 63 medical facilities that serve over one million patients throughout 24 communities in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. From 1988 revenue has incrementally grown from $55 million to over $765 million per year. With well over 3,800 employees, Mercy has become a major economic force throughout its service area.
