Project Description: Campus 2 buildings “K” and “H” will each mimic the shape of the letter “H,” with one bar being three stories above ground and the other bar being two stories above ground and housing approximately 409 offices each. Every office will be individually controlled for heating and cooling and the lighting for each office will be controlled remotely from the workstation. The basement of building “K” will house the Central Energy Plant for all the office buildings on campus. The heating and cooling for the buildings and the rest of the Campus will be powered by a Geothermal System. Incorporating “Green” into the entire campus, Building “K” will be submitted for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification through the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). In addition, emergency generators will allow building “K”, and one other building on campus, to remain fully operational in the event of a power outage. The buildings will also feature large conference rooms located on the top level of each building. This executive level room will accommodate 300 people. |
