Partnering

“Now that our wonderful new school facility is at completion, I know we are here now because of the efficiencies, highly skilled work efforts and fulfilled commitments resulting from our Partnership. I will always remember being part of it and will rate the experience as a defining experience in my career and life.”
David Ewald, Superintendent (retired)
School District of South Milwaukee

J. P. Cullen & Sons has made a profession of Partnering. We know of no other way to build. We start with a relationship based on trust and confidence and allow quality and collaborative decisions to be made at all levels of the design and construction process.

Cullen has been chosen four times by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) to receive their national award for great partnering, the Marvin M. Black Excellence in Partnering Award. Cullen competes against contractors across the nation for this award and is the only general contractor in Wisconsin to receive it four times.

Cullen was most recently given this magnificent award in recognition of our monumental completion of the Milwaukee City Hall Restoration Project a $62 million bid project.

In 2008 we were presented with the MMB Excellence in Partnering Award at the annual convention of AGC of America in Las Vegas, this time for Fredic Ogg Residence Hall at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Then in 2005 Cullen also received this award for construction of the South Milwaukee High School and Middle School Renovation Project, as well as in 1995 for the Department of Agriculture, Trade & Consumer Protection Office Building in Madison.

Whatever profession our client is in, they are thankful that Cullen’s trustworthy handshake led them to a new level of organizational and facility excellence.
