To increase the number of students attending schools within the Milwaukee Public School system, the district established the Milwaukee Public Schools Neighborhood Schools Initiative (NSI), a district wide planning and construction program that examined the school facilities with scrutiny.
"This comprehensive initiative included a level of community input that was unprecedented in the district's history," said Sheryl Scott, business development for prime architect PACE Architects, S.C.
